This festive season, the Phoenix Choir Christmas concerts in Leura and Lithgow add a special touch to their performances with the return of audience-favourite guest baritone soloist, Tristan Entwistle and Springwood trumpet soloist, Tyler Wilkinson.
Musical Director, Rowen Fox, has built a program around the exquisite Vaughan Williams 'Fantasia on Christmas Carols'.
Local trumpeter, Tyler Wilkinson joins the choir in the rousing 'Christians, be Joyful', from J S Bach's famous Christmas Oratorio. Tyler also adds magic to a selection of much-loved traditional carols, and the audience are invited to sing along with the most popular numbers. Tristian and Tyler combine to perform the stirring and virtuosic 'The Trumpet Shall Sound', and the 'Halleluiah Chorus' provides a rousing finale.
The Leura Concert is at St Alban's Anglican Church, Megalong Street 4pm Saturday 5 December with repeat performance in Hoskins Memorial Church Lithgow at 3pm the following afternoon. Tickets include afternoon tea....
