Bairnsdale's Mitchell Gardens Caravan Park is located along the banks of the Mitchell River at the eastern end of Bairnsdale's busy shopping centre, boasts one of the prettiest parks in the district. The facilities and friendly approach by the management are marvellous. Take a morning stroll or bike ride along the picturesque track that runs through the park along the boardwalk to the port of Bairnsdale then onto the Lind Bridge and back across the swing bridge over the backwater. Also nearby is the East Gippsland Rail Trail, a designated bike riding trail.
